Astros vs Phillies Props for 3 players, World Series picks
Check out my two favorite player accessories for Game 3 of the World Seriescourtesy of our Action Labs screenings.
Our Action Labs Accessory Tool rate each point on a scale of 1-10, and I’ll be sure to include the grade for each of my betting recommendations in my discussions below.
Lance McCullers Jr. Over 5.5 layups (+114)
Odds via FanDuel
It seems unlikely that Lance McCullers Jr. could clear that line in a World Series game, but the value is clearly higher than 5.5 Ks with a price tag of more money.
McCullers has struck out that number in six of his last seven starts, striking out five in the only game he didn’t clear the number. He recently posted six strikeouts in 100 pitches against the Yankees with a CSW rate of 34%.
McCullers has a slider-lead combination that plays well off each other:
He also has a flexible curveball that forced a 37% whiff rate this season.
McCullers has all the strikeout tools, which is why his strikeout rate is north of 25% this season.
Projection systems are also high for McCullers, with three different models projecting it, including:
But we can bet on this point above +110. And I’d bet on McCullers to even the money.
To pick up: Over 5.5 Ks (+114) | Play at 5.5 (+100)
Action Labs Grade: 9/10
Kyle Tucker Over 1.5 Total Bases (+130)
Odds via DraftKings
I’ll go back to the well with Kyle Tucker, who I continue to project value into Houston’s postseason run.
Tucker has at least one hit in six of his nine postseason games, including a monster two-run performance in Game 1 of the World Series. Tucker has a 71% hard hit rate through the first two games, which means he’s seeing the ball well right now.
Tucker also faces another righty on the mound in Noah Syndergaard. Tucker’s batting average jumps 50 points against the right side.
I don’t have much faith in Syndergaard today, especially in this matchup. Syndergaard relies heavily on a pen-slider combination, and those are two pitches that Tucker hammers. Tucker has posted a +16 career value for the Sliders this season with a .619 SLG and has a .522 SLG against the plate.
BallParkPal rates it as the second-best hitting game today, based on their Runs Created metric.

Also, FanGraphs SaberSim projections peg Tucker at 1.68 total bases today
But we’re getting good value on Tucker on DraftKings.
To pick up: More than 1.5 TB (+130) | Play at 1.5 (+125)
