Happy Halloween, hoops fans. We’ve officially reached the point where Spooky season and NBA season have collided.

We asked Bleacher Report’s Dan Favale i Emily McCarthy to name some NBA stars as Halloween candy, and in the spirit of the seasons, they came out in the clutch.
Read on to find an MVPeanut Butter M&M, a bittersweet star duo, a legend as polarizing as Halloween’s most talked about candy… then hit the comments to share your own ideas.

Sweets: Twix
Twix is an underrated candy that never gets enough recognition for its integrity. Could there be a better parallel for Devin Booker’s game?
Silky smooth chocolate is Book’s mid-range J. The deliciously hard candy is his speed shifting attacks and tougher one-on-one defense. The vanilla shortbread cookie is the complex simplicity with which it gets away from the ball. His flawless crunch is his live dribble pass.
That Twix tends to come in twos underscores the evolution of Booker’s decision-making since double teams. Twix is Devin Booker and Devin Booker is Twix.

Sweets: Ferrero Rocher
Damian Lillard is far from normal, built differently, you might say. Also Ferrero Rochers.
The experience of whole crunchy hazelnut layers covering a delicate wafer shell that includes a creamy hazelnut, all hidden in a distinct gold wrapper, is unmatched. It’s a culture-setting sweet, offering lush sight and taste while acting as the grown-up in the room.
That’s Dame in a, ahem, hazelnut shell.

Sweets: Sour Patch Kids
First they are sour, then they are sweet.
This is especially fitting for the 2021-22 edition of Tatum and Brown, who, along with the rest of the Celtics, struggled through a very sour 18-21 start before turning things around for a (mostly ) sweet
The Jays are fan favorites that pack a punch without going overboard. They are different flavors that coexist perfectly in the same bag. They are great alone and even better together.

Sweets: Cadbury Creme Eggs
This sweet is everything: filled on purpose alone and with a versatile flavor (cream, chocolate cream, caramel, etc.). It can be your sweet tooth anytime.
However, like Kawhi Leonard, Cadbury Creme Eggs are best enjoyed in the spring.

Sweets: Peanut Butter M&M’s
Peanut butter is the most satiating M&M’s flavor on its own, but it’s also so much more, not unlike a certain Serbian superstructure.
The experience is equal parts physical (hard chocolate shell) and soft (peanut butter!) and comes at you en masse (you never get just one singular M&M).
Its versatility also knows few limits. Do you need it to be your everything? no sweat But he also plays well with others. Bake it in cookies. Mix it with the ice cream. Combine in a large bowl with other M&M’s to boost or complement the rest.
In any season, against any deliciously worthy opponent, Peanut Butter M&M’s can be the MVC (Most Valuable Candy).

Jimmy Butler

Sweets: Bowling
Skittles come in a rainbow of flavors. Also Jimmy Butler.
Master Game Maker. Go to defender. Lifebuoy scorer. Free-throw shooter-parade. Overpriced cafe owner. Part time morning personal trainer. The list goes on. And it’s an experience that runs the gamut of results.
Are Skittles satisfying and fully equipped to be the best candy in your Halloween treat arsenal? Absolutely.
Can its mixture of a hard sugar shell and a hydrogenated oil interior be shrapnel to the palate and teeth when consumed in large quantities and without the right candy pairings to offset the self-grating? yes too
Building around Jimmy Butler is not for the faint of heart. It’s a commitment to the gladiator and to adapt the culture and the list to not only their playstyle, but also their mindset. In a way, then, the Miami Heat are the bag of Skittles, and Jimmy is the most prevalent flavor in it.

Sweets: sweet corn
Corn is the undisputed GOAT of Halloween candy, depending on who you ask.
With staunch advocates and vocal haters, no candy is more polarizing than corn.
But even those who refuse to eat candy corn can appreciate it as a Halloween icon. It is timeless, coherent and nostalgic. It’s the kind of candy that could average 30 points per game even as new candy hits the top shelf.
It may not be a universal favorite, but year after year, it remains one of the best.
