Morning Skate: Rolling – Stanley Cup of Chowder

Happy Monday, folks!

Welcome to a new work week and happy Halloween too.

October seems to have flown by – local hockey gear on fire always helps pass the time.

It was a hockey-less weekend for the Bruins, who return to action tomorrow night against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

These Penguins have lost four in a row, so it’s “a tale of two teams” for now, though those narratives matter little once the game starts.

Elsewhere in the NHL, we have red wings ventilators mad about Michael Rasmussen’s suspensionwith one commentator suggesting that David Krejci took Rasmussen’s cane off his own head, which…yeah.

The Coyotes of Arizona he also started his slate at home at Mullett Arena over the weekend, and it’s far from over the weirdest place an NHL game has ever been.

Other than that, there’s no new news on the Krejci injury front, and aside from some Halloween party photos, the Bruins have been quiet.

What’s on for today?

Today’s topic of discussion

What is your current opinion of the entire Coyotes/ASU Arena saga?

I thought it was embarrassing at first, and I still think some of the things need work (professional pricing at the concession stands, for example).

I know the pictures of the temporary changing rooms look bad, but it looks like they are trying to make the best of a difficult situation.

Also, some of the more college aspects of the atmosphere (cheap student tickets, marching band) could make things pretty fun.
