The NY Jets were rumored to be interested in trading the Broncos star
The New York Jets are rumored to have trade interest in Denver Broncos running back Bradley Chubb
The NFL trade deadline is one day away (Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 4 p.m. ET) and the buzz is starting to swirl.
According to NBC’s Peter King, the New York Jets are interested in trading Denver Broncos edge rusher Bradley Chubb.
But the Jets are not alone in their interest.
In an article published Monday morning, King wrote, “A well-connected GM told me over the weekend that the Jets and Dolphins are interested and interested enough to consider dealing a first-rounder for Chubb . But to make that deal for a significant price, Miami or New York, or any team, would have to make a deal with Chubb beyond this year.”

Could this be the second iteration of the Jets and Dolphins duel for Tyreek Hill?
The Jets being interested in Chubb is pretty surprising. We know Robert Saleh and the Jets love their defensive line depth, but this unit is thriving. The biggest needs are at positions such as offensive tackle, offensive guard, safety and possibly linebacker.
Additionally, the Jets have already invested a tremendous amount of money and draft capital on the defensive line. Carl Lawson and John Franklin-Myers are on big contracts (though the Jets can escape those after the year). Quinnen Williams is planning a major expansion in the near future. Jermaine Johnson just got drafted in the first round.
Regardless, if the Jets were to add Chubb, it would raise the ceiling of their defense to a whole new level. According to this chart (via ESPN’s Seth Walder ), Chubb owned the third-best passing win rate among edge rushers entering Week 8, trailing only Myles Garrett and Micah Parsons.
Chubb, 26, was a first-round pick out of NC State in 2018. He has 26 sacks, 58 quarterback hits and 6 forced fumbles in 49 career games (17-game averages: 9 sacks, 20 hits , 2 forced impersonations). ). Injuries are a concern for Chubb, who has missed 24 of a possible 73 career games. Chubb hasn’t missed a game in 2022, though.
