Week 10 College Football Bowl Predictions

College football is the biggest sport on this planet. But has anyone else noticed that it’s slowly becoming pro wrestling?

Just on Saturday, there was the Melee at Michigan Stadium, which has law enforcement investigating. The only thing missing from the tunnel fight in Ann Arbor was a folding chair over the back of someone’s head.

Then, in College Station, a winning coach called the losing coach a “joker.” This was in response to the “joker” coach calling the other coach a “clown” a few months earlier.

Later that night, a Pac-12 athletic director called out a crew of Pac-12 officials on social media for their “toned” calls.

Earlier Saturday, news broke that an SEC athletic director was making the final U-turn and was in the process of leaving his school for another school within the same SEC division.

Brawling, trash talking, BS spewing, heel turning college football. Or just another Saturday. And yes, I can’t wait for this week’s games.

This is where the script says to dive off the top rope into my bowl projections.

Heading into November, 36 teams are bowl eligible, while nine are mathematically eliminated. That means 86 teams are alive to reach bowl eligibility with only 48 spots up for grabs.

I’m still projecting that the bowl system will need seven 5-7 teams to fill the openings. This week, those include Iowa, Kansas, Miami, Michigan State, Missouri, Texas Tech and UTEP.

Here are this week’s screenings with Action Network head writer Collin WilsonCurrent College Football Betting Power Ratings.
