The last time the Phillies hosted a World Series game was in 2009, when they lost to the New York Yankees. It was also the last time Philadelphia made the playoffs. But after a remarkable postseason run that followed an 87-win season, it’s back to the Fall Classic.

Noah Syndergaard (10-10, 3.94 ERA) is expected to start for the Phillies against Lance McCullers Jr. of Houston (4-2, 2.27 ERA). The Astros are the betting favorites at -130, with the Phillies at +110, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Phillies handed the Astros their first loss of the postseason in Game 1, a thrilling 6-5 victory in 10 innings. Houston evened the series by winning the second game 5-2.

With the division in Houston, Philadelphia now has home field advantage. Games 3, 4 and 5 are all at Citizens Bank Park, where the Phillies are a perfect 5-0 this postseason.

Showers are forecast for Monday night, according to the National Weather Service, which estimated the chance of precipitation at 70%. The temperature during the game was expected to be around 61 degrees.

You can watch the entire World Series even if you don’t have cable if you sign up DirecTV Stream or Fubo TV.
