Flyers John Tortorella might have delivered the quote of the year
Everyone knows it Philadelphia Flyers Head coach John Tortorella isn’t afraid to speak his mind. When he’s not happy with something, he makes it clear.
He certainly did just that half a game in the Flyers’ tilt against him Columbus blue jackets tuesday night
Late in the first period against Columbus, ESPN analyst (and former Flyers goaltender) Brian Boucher asked Tortorella about his thoughts on his team’s start to the game after falling behind 1-0.
Not surprisingly, Tortorella’s response was absolutely hilarious.
“We get hurt,” he proclaimed without hesitation. “We didn’t precheck, we didn’t do anything right now.”
what a legend
This incredible soundbite comes just a couple of weeks after Tortorella visibly cursed the Toronto Maple Leafs to hell from the bench following a Zach Aston-Reese goal.
Tortorella’s squad is in the midst of a three-game losing streak, the team’s second three-game losing streak to start the season. In a very competitive Metropolitan Division, the Flyers can’t afford to fall behind, so it’s easy to understand Tortorella’s frustration.
After the Flyers’ 5-1 loss to the Dallas stars On Sunday, Tortorella was surprisingly positive despite losing by four goals, admitting there are “a lot of good things” happening in his group.
However, he seemed to have a slightly different attitude on Tuesday.
Never a dull moment with Torts behind the bench, eh?
