BALTIMORE – The Panthers have struggled to keep a secondary together lately, but they’ll be welcome on the field today against the Ravens.

In addition to security Jeremy Chinn activated after missing the previous six weeks, the Panthers will have the corner Jaycee Horn on the field after being listed as a doubt on this week’s injury report.

Having them will be key today against the Ravens, who have lost a cornerback Donte Jackson for the year to a torn Achilles last week, and safety/nickel Myles Hartsfield is missing due to an ankle injury. The Panthers are also without a safety Justin Burris (concussion), means there’s a bit of hand-to-hand quality in the secondary.

They lifted the veteran cornerback TJ Carrie to the game day roster for more experience, but will likely have to use special teams Sam Franklin Jr. and Sean Chandler at times today

In addition to Hartsfield and Burris, the Panthers also deactivated their quarterback PJ Walkerdefensive attack Matt Ioannidisdeal with Larnell Colemanwide receiver Rashard Higginsand tight end Giovanni Ricci.

Baker Mayfield Walker will start at quarterback today (he sprained his ankle last week against the Falcons, and Sam Darnold behind him

The Panthers also called up the defenseman’s contract Phil Hoskins from the practice squad today to help provide depth, and signed linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe To the 53-man roster to replace Arron Mosby.

Iyiegbuniwe, a key player on Chris Tabor’s special teams in the past (they were together in Chicago), will wear the No. 52 jersey.
