Editor’s note: The Edge is a quick pregame analysis of the upcoming Kansas State football game.

Kansas State will look to secure a spot in the Big 12 title game on Saturday when the Wildcats host Kansas. The rivalry will be televised nationally on FOX at 7 p.m. Here’s a look at some key matchups between the Wildcats and Jayhawks.

Kansas head coach Lance Leipold on the K-State game…

“It should be noted that some things have been cleared. Coach Kliman and his staff have done a great job and they have a great football team to play with. They’ve earned that right, they have a lot of weapons and one of the best defenses in the country. It will be a difficult task to get there.”

Kansas State head coach Chris Kleeman on what Kansas did well this year…

I think the most important thing is to believe. I don’t know their lineup, but they play hard and believe. And they do have some talented players, no doubt about it, but they’re playing inspired, they’re in the cup, I know that’s very important for the program, and I know that’s a potential cherry on top for them in this game because they’re already are eligible for the cup, so you really have nothing to lose. And I know this, they play for each other and they play hard for their coaching staff, and that’s going to be a big challenge.”
