Vikings WR Jalen Reagor delivers billboard material to the Detroit Lions
It all started in the next few minutes Minnesota Vikings‘living victory New York Jets. With the Vikings just one win away from clinching the NFC North, Kirk Cousins was asked by a manager if it would feel extra special to clinch the division in Michigan, where the quarterback grew up and went to college.
“I think anytime you can play in a ‘shirt and cap’ and get the job done, that’s what’s special about it,” Cousins said.
Yes, the Vikings are already watching in their NFC Champion hats and shirts at Ford Field.
Generally, though, when it comes to trash talk or billboards, it’s pretty tame. In fact, a few sentences later, Cousins would say they can’t forget that Detroit Lions the team
“We have a big challenge, and I think the Lions are a very good football team,” Cousins.
Okay, hackles down. There is no big deal.
Well… the next day, linebacker DJ Wonnum repeated the line:
#vikings OLB DJ Wonnum echoed what Kirk Cousins said yesterday about being able to clinch the NFC North in Detroit on Sunday. “It’s definitely a hat and shirt game.”

Again, probably not a big deal. People call the playoffs and divisional games the “hat and t-shirt games.” It’s definitely a little annoying to be thinking about it already, but as far as direct disrespect goes… it’s a stretch.
That is, until Vikings wide receiver Jalen Reagor spoke to the media on Wednesday. No matter how you spin this quote, it’s complete Detroit billboard material.
“We’re going to win,” Reagor told Vikings reporter Chris Tomasson.
When asked if that was a guarantee, Reagor replied “Yes”, then “I have no doubt”.
Jalen Reagor has confirmed #vikings to win in Detroit. I asked him about possibly getting over the division and I said, “We’re going to win.” I asked him if that was a guarantee: “Yes” he added: “I won’t say anything if we win. ..we hope to win..I have no doubt”

Oh, it’s on now.
The last time the two teams played, it was a closely fought game, with the Lions leading by 10 points in the fourth quarter. But the last time the two played at Ford Field, it was the Lions who pulled off a miraculous comeback, scoring the game-winning touchdown on the final play of the game.
The Lions are on a roll right now, winning four of their last five games, but the Vikings have done an incredible job of finishing games, posting a 9-0 record in one-score games and a 10-2 record overall.
The betting public clearly doesn’t have the same confidence that Reagor does in his team, as Vegas’ line for this game has shifted dramatically by a point in favor of the Vikings, with the Lions now a 2.5-point favorite heading into Sunday.
