Bill Belichick is said to be the highest paid coach in American sports, and it’s not even close

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick sits atop the mountain when it comes to American coaching salaries, and no one is screaming.

It’s a king’s salary when it comes to the greatest coach in NFL history.

sport listed the top 10 coaches in the country, and Belichick topped the rest with an annual salary of $20 million. The closest coach to rival that salary is Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll with an annual salary of $15 million.

Belichick has led the Patriots to nine Super Bowls and won a total of six with the franchise. Granted, the team has fallen on hard times in recent years with the departure of legendary quarterback Tom Brady, but the man in the sleeveless hoodie remains one of the best coaches in football.

And of course he has a bank account to prove it.
