For the second weekend in a row, Florida State will host an on-campus customer transfer portal
The Seminoles just had a busy weekend that saw nine different high school or transfer players visit. That stretch has already proven fruitful, with FSU picking up a commitment from South Carolina running back Jaheim Bell on Monday.

Florida State is heading into its final open weekend before the dead period and the opening of the early signing period. Most of the prospects the Seminoles are pursuing will sign on Dec. 21, which means it’s important to get a final impression before the recruits put pen to paper.
That means the 48-hour period from Friday, December 16 to Sunday, December 18 will be crucial for the coaching staff. Ten prospects were originally expected from the high school and junior college levels. That number is currently down to nine due to JUCO forward Elijah Phillips canceling his trip to Florida State as the program announced other players.
The roster includes a mix of commitments (WR Hykeem Williams, WR Vandrevius Jacobs, WR Goldie Lawrence, DE Lamont Geen Jr, DT KJ Sampson, DB KJ Kirkland, DB Ja’Bril Rawls) and targets (JUCO OL Keyshawn Blackstock, OL Chris Otto ).
NoleGameday also learned that the Seminoles plan to have several NCAA Transfer Portal prospects on campus for the second weekend in a row. Colorado’s offensive line transfer Casey RoddickAuburn’s offensive line transfer Keondre Jonesand the Western Michigan defensive line transfer Brad Fisk All scheduled official visits to Florida State. Other transfers may join the list in the next few days.
In five years in Colorado, Roddick played in 42 games with 30 starts. That includes 22 consecutive starts to end his time with the Buffaloes and a career-high 707 offensive snaps in 2022.
With the Seminoles set to replace both starting guards on the offensive line after the season, Roddick is a graduate with a proven resume as a solid starter. Additionally, he was a team captain at Colorado, which could indicate that he is a strong addition both in the locker room and on the field. Roddick visited North Carolina State last weekend.

In four years at Auburn, Jones played in 36 games with 22 starts. He started all 12 games for the Tigers last season, but has struggled to earn consistent playing time at right back in 2022. Jones played in 11 games but saw just two starts – a snapping inconsistency led to a decline in play as he recorded a career-low 57.1 PFF grade.
Despite his struggles, there is still a lot to like about the veteran SEC offensive lineman at the right position. Chances are, when Jones arrives in Tallahassee, he will need to tweak his frame. He is 6-foot-4 and 340 pounds. Jones has not publicly announced the offers since entering the portal. He has two years of eligibility left.
In five years at Western Michigan, Fisk played in 45 games with 31 starts. He started the final 31 games of his college career and put together a career-best season in 2022. Fiske recorded 58 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles and 6 sacks in 12 games. He totaled 148 tackles, 27.5 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, 3 pass deflections and 2 forced fumbles with the Broncos.
The Indiana native is the highest-rated defensive player on the team, earning an 84.5 grade from PFF. Fiske would likely step in as an interior pass rusher with the Seminoles. He is one of the hottest names on the transfer market, picking up offers from Florida State, Notre Dame, Florida State, Ole Miss, Penn State, West Virginia, Mississippi State and Rutgers, among others. Fiske is projected to have one season left. Former Miami linebacker Darrell Jackson has already caught one pass from the defensive line.
The visits come at an important time for the Florida State program, which is slated to break ground on its football facility on Saturday, Dec. 17. Official visitors are expected to attend the ceremony led by athletic director Michael Alford.
