Shaq interested in buying NBA team, but wants to be ‘very involved’

Shaquille O’Neal was forced to sell his stake in the Kings earlier this year, but the Big Fella explains TMZ Sports is interested in returning to the owner’s box…but this time, he wants to be “very involved!”

O’Neal joined Babcock to the “TMZ Sports” TV show. (issued on weekdays FS1) … where the Hall of Famer was asked about possible ownership interests in the Phoenix Suns, an organization Shaq previously played for near the end of his career. While Shaq made it clear that there has been no move with the Suns, he does want an NBA team.

“I haven’t had any discussions with my partners, so I can’t make the statement yet, but we’re still looking to be heavily involved in buying an NBA team,” Shaq told us.

A few months ago, Shaq told us again that he was interested in buying Robert Sarverthe Phoenix team, but I didn’t want to go up against it Jeff Bezos (or “Big Man JB,” as Shaq calls him), who was apparently interested in acquiring the team.

But, now Bezos has his sights set, along with Jay-Z — on Washington’s commanders.

Speaking of football…we asked Shaq if he had any interest in owning an NFL franchise.

“Yeah, but this time when I buy a team, I really want to be involved. I’d like it to be somewhere where I live. If it’s not the Dolphins or the Cowboys or the Raiders. , and those teams are too expensive for me, but my main man JB can write that check!”
