FrontPageBets picks Independence, Gasparilla, Hawaii and Quick Lane bowl games
Missouri running back Cody Schrader and the Tigers won four out of their last six regular-season games to qualify for the Gasparilla Bowl.
The college football bowl season continues over Christmas weekend with four games Friday through Monday: The Independence Bowl, Gasparilla Bowl, Hawaii Bowl and Quick Lane Bowl.
The top game of that stretch will be the Gasparilla Bowl between Wake Forest of the ACC and Missouri of the SEC.
The Deacons (7-5) roll into Tampa, Fla., as a 1-point favorite, but the Tigers (6-6) might have the better team, at least the second half of the season.
Missouri has won four out of its last six to qualify for a bowl game, averaging 25.8 points during that stretch. The Tigers two losses were to Kentucky, which spent most of the season in the top 25, and then No. 5-ranked Tennessee.

Wake Forest, on the other hand, has lost four of its last five coming into Friday night’s Gasparilla Bowl after starting the season 6-1. The Deacons have given up 36.6 points in the last five games.
So look for this matchup at Raymond James Stadium to be a high-scoring affair.
The SEC is 51-29 all-time against the ACC in bowl games.
