Steelers inactive for Week 16 vs. Raiders

Steelers inactive for Week 16 vs. Raiders

The Steelers will be without safety Terrell Edmunds tonight against the Las Vegas Raiders at Acrisure Stadium.

Edmunds did not practice all week, dealing with a groin injury that was listed as questionable to enter the game and is inactive. It’s the second game of the season Edmunds will miss, also inactive for the Steelers Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills.

With Edmunds out, the Steelers promoted safety Elijah Riley from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

Riley was placed on the Active/Inactive list for the Week 10 game against the New Orleans Saints. He also stepped up in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills and Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and saw action in both games.

Riley was claimed off waivers from the New York Jets during training camp. He started the final seven games for the Jets in 2021 after being signed to the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad. He had 45 tackles and three tackles for loss. Riley, who played at Army, originally signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2020.

Also inactive tonight are quarterback Mason Rudolph, running back Kendrick Green, defensive end Jonathan Marshall and linebacker Mark Robinson.
