Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Rams
Durant still plays on Christmas
of course Networks a star Kevin Durant doesn’t play in a game on Christmas Day for the first time since 2009 (when he’s healthy), but another Durant does.
Rams rookie cornerback Kobe Durant made an interception on a rush to give his team good field position.
To the house!
Tyler Higbee made a reception right in front of the goal line and raced into the end zone to give Los Angeles a 10-0 lead in the first quarter.
Hey, former teammate!
Bobby Wagner got into the fun by intercepting Russell Wilson his former teammate with Seattle Seahawksto give the Rams great field position on back-to-back drives.
Cam Akers adds leadership
The Rams running back found his way into the end zone on a three-yard run that gave Los Angeles a 17-0 lead in the first quarter.
Courtland Sutton keeps cool
The Broncos receiver had a snap down the sideline that was initially ruled incomplete, but Denver contested the play and a quick review showed Sutton made the catch.
The catch helped the Broncos score and make it 17-3.
Santa Claus TDs
Higbee scored his second touchdown of the second quarter and the Rams led 24-3 early in the second quarter.
The Rams followed that up with a A 2-yard touchdown run by Akers for a 31-6 halftime lead.
For good measure
Denver added a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter thanks to a side end zone grab Greg Dulcich.
Stay tuned!
Green Bay Packers 26, Miami Dolphins 20
Almost all the way
After the Dolphins took a 3-0 lead on the opening drive, Cason Nixon put the Packers in great field position by returning the ensuing kickoff 94 yards to put Green Bay inside the Miami 10-yard line. The Packers couldn’t take full advantage, settling for a field goal.
Roll over for six!
Jaylen Waddle took Tagovailoa’s pass the distance, turning a 10-yard reception into an 84-yard touchdown that put Miami up 10-3.
Got a Marcedes for Christmas
When Rodgers found it, Green Bay finally reached the end zone Marcedes Lewis wide open to tie the game at 10-10.
Star power
Tagovailoa’s favorite gift this season was Tyreek Hill, and he contacted him again at Christmas. The star receiver hauled in a 52-yard catch to put the Dolphins on the Packers’ 1-yard line.
then, Jeff Wilson ran for a touchdown on the next play to give Miami a 17-10 lead.
Not on Miami’s watch
The Packers tried to keep their drive going by running a fake punt on fourth down deep in their own territory. The dolphins sniffed out the fake faster than Santa sniffs out cookies on Christmas Eve.
Big fourth down conversion
Rodgers used the play-action to his advantage by finding Christian Watson open for a first down to help the Packers set up a field goal and make it 20-13 at halftime.
♫ Slide to the left ♫
Rodgers went left and found Lewis again, but this time for 30-plus yards to set up the Packers at the Dolphins’ 7-yard line.
Excellent AJ
AJ Dillon made it into the end zone just two plays after Rodgers’ deep pass that tied the game early in the third quarter.
Dolphins defense gets pick … but was PI?
Rodgers wanted it all on third-and-15, launching a pass into the end zone Allen Lazard. Kohou frame though made a play to get an interception for the Dolphins, it appeared he could have gotten away with some contact.
“Ball don’t lie,” at least for Packers fans
On the play immediately following Rodgers’ interception, the Packers got the ball back when Tagovailoa threw the ball right into Jair Alexander to give Green Bay great field position.
A gift for De’Vondre Campbell
Tagovailoa threw another interception right at the Packers quarterback as the Dolphins drove to either tie the game or take the lead.
Tua turnover
The Dolphins quarterback had his third interception in his last three dry runs when his final pass of the game went right into Rasul Douglassealing a 26-20 victory for the Packers.
