Top NFL Week 17 plays: Cowboys beat Titans on TNF
It’s the last time we’ll be taking in professional Thursday football until next season, and the matchup has huge implications for both teams. Tennessee is struggling to keep its playoff hopes alive as a bubble team on the brink of extinction. At 7-8, the Titans are tied with four other AFC teams and need a big win to jump atop the standings heading into Sunday.
Dallas has already clinched a playoff spot, but is still looking to win the NFC East. The boys will relinquish first place in the division if Philadelphia wins on Sunday, but for now they are focused on things they can control. And it’s the Tennessee Titans.

After Byard grabbed Tennessee’s first score of the game, he slipped in front of another Prescott pass attempt for his second INT of the first half. The crucial grab put the Titans in perfect position to hit a field goal that brought them within four at the half.
After a huge pass interference put the Cowboys in the red zone, Kellen Moore prepared a play call for one of his favorite short-yardage targets, and Dalton Schultz confirmed his confidence with a bright score. The TD put Dallas up 17-6.
The Prescott-Schultz connection is going strong and it led to scoring again early in the fourth when No. 4 made a nice lob to No. 86 in the end zone that put Dallas up 24-13. And Schultz made sure to let his defender know about his shortcomings.
