Georgia vs. Ohio State: Live updates, College Football Playoff scores, Peach Bowl 2022 coverage

ATLANTA – No. 4 Ohio State leads No. 1 Georgia 28-24 at halftime of the College Football Playoff semifinal at the Peach Bowl. The Bulldogs found themselves down 21-7 midway through the second quarter, but scored 17 straight points to take the lead with 2 minutes to go before halftime. Quarterback C.J. Stroud led the Buckeyes on a 75-yard drive in just four plays that led to Xavier Johnson’s 37-yard field goal to give OSU the lead at halftime.

The story so far has been a game of both offenses. The Bulldogs have 313 total yards and an average of 9.8 yards per game, while the Buckeyes have 248 and 7.8 yards per game. Stroud is 15 of 19 for 238 yards and three touchdowns, proving why he is a two-time Heisman Trophy finalist.

There are two injury notes to watch out for. Georgia was already without right tackle Warren McClendon, who suffered a leg injury in the SEC championship game. He also lost tight end Darnell Washington to an ankle injury; his return is in question as Washington was ruled out pending further evaluation at halftime.
