Jadeveon Clowney’s allegations about Myles Garrett, Joe Woods, Browns

The Cleveland Browns There’s one game left in the 2022 NFL season, but it looks like a big question mark has just been answered heading into next season.

Browns chased DE Jadeveon Clowney A couple of seasons before signing with the team in 2021. His first year in Cleveland was a success, but the former first-round pick said money will determine where he plays in 2022. After not being signed early in free agency, he went back to Clowney. after the team acquires the QB Deshaun Watson.

The 2022 season was his first season without the team and now, with the finals just days away, Clowney spoke out. Interview with Mary Kay Cabot. His remarks are strong indictments about the band and his time with it.

Clowney noted that he expected a lot of changes “so maybe they don’t come back, maybe I do.” You may be referring to DC Joe Woods, HC Kevin Stefanski, or both with that comment.

The big defensive end also accused the team of wanting to pump up the DE of Myles Garrett making sure the numbers got the best matchups, “When all that matters is winning, you’re trying to get somebody into the Hall of Fame.” He made sure he didn’t think it was his teammate that happened.

While the interview doesn’t paint the Browns in a great light, it also drew attention to how Clowney responded negatively:

“We practiced all week, and we come into the game and they want to move me,” he said. “I’m not doing (things). I’m old I did my job.”

He opted to play only third downs in that game due to the change, taking only 22 snaps for 35%. Offensive tackle Taven Bryan started in his place, and Chase Winovich played 23 snaps for 37%. Clowney finished with an assist in that game.

Cabot’s piece It has a lot of strong words from Clowney, including that he thinks he could have 10 sacks if used right, is 95% sure he won’t be back next year and the team doesn’t believe it.

What looked like a threat at defensive end came late, when he said “I could still finish in the league next year.”

It will be interesting when DL coach Chris Kiffin and other players meet with the media on Friday and after the game. Will they respond to Clowney’s comments? Will the team discipline? What will Garrett say about a player who made the team come back this year?
