Georgia TE announces transfer appointment

Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brett Sater is transferring to Georgia Tech. Seither joined a pair of Georgia tight ends Eric Gilbert and Ryland the Good in the transfer window earlier this offseason.

Seider is expected to have two years of eligibility remaining.

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound tight end played on special teams and had three catches for 42 yards and a touchdown during Georgia’s 2021 college football season. Seiter, who won a pair of national titles during his time at Georgia, is expected to play a bigger role for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Georgia remains in a tense state. The Bulldogs return Brock Bowers and Oscar Delp for the 2023 college football season. In addition, Georgia has loaded class of 2023 in extreme tension.

Seiter redshirted the 2019 season as a freshman. Seither appeared in both the Arkansas State and Murray State games.

Seiter came to Athens, Ga., as a three-star prospect in the class of 2019 out of Clearwater Central Catholic High School. Seither originally committed to Georgia, not Alabama.

Seiter will have multiple years of eligibility wherever he decides to transfer. He helped give Georgia’s team depth during the College Football Playoff when he could easily enter the transfer portal.
