Arsenal agree £27m deal with Brighton for Leandro Trossard

Arsenal struck a £27m deal Brighton to sign Leandro Trossard.

The north London club did not have time to sign the deal Mikhail Mudryk at the beginning of the month. Mudrik joined Major league rivals Chelsea.

Trossard, who has scored seven goals in 17 appearances for Brighton this season, has not played for the south coast side since their 4-2 defeat by Arsenal at the end of December.

According to Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi, he left training early and was therefore left out of the squad. Trossaro’s agent, Josie Comhair, accused De Zerbi of belittling the player.

However, De Zerbi defended his attitude towards Trossard and said this week that “it’s not a bad situation, it’s a great situation”.
