Brighton have ordered Moises Caiceda to stay away from training amid interest from Arsenal
Brighton and Hove Albion told Moses Kayseda to stay away from training until the end of the January transfer window amid speculation over his future.
Brighton rejected a £60m bid from Arsenal on Friday.
Caiceda answered this published a statement on social networks in which he stated that he wanted to leave the club.
As a result, Caicedo will miss Saturday’s 11 a.m. training session and is not expected to participate in club activities. FA Cup fourth round draw vs Liverpool on Sunday.
Brighton’s stance is that Caicedo will not be sold in the January transfer window – and that this will not change despite continued interest from Arsenal.
The club expect him to stay at the club for the second half of the season.

Caicedo potential Arsenal move: Why Arteta wants highly-rated Brighton midfielder
The 21-year-old said on Instagram on Friday night: “I’m grateful to Mr Bloom and Brighton for giving me the opportunity to come to Major league and I feel I have always done my best for them. I always play football with a smile and a heart.
“I am the youngest of 10 siblings from a poor upbringing in Santo Domingo, Ecuador. My dream is always to be the most decorated player in the history of Ecuador.
“I am proud to have been able to bring Brighton a record transfer fee which would allow them to reinvest it and help the club continue to be successful.
“The fans have taken me into their hearts and they will always be in my heart, so I hope they understand why I want to take this wonderful opportunity.”
Arsenal are interested in Caicedo as they look to sign a central midfielder. They have been exploring a deal for him in recent days and have now made a firm move for him ahead of the final stages of the January transfer window.
The north London club do have considerable means to strengthen their squad this window, as evidenced by their failed pursuit of Mikhail Mudryk.
Chelsea have also shown an interest in Caicedo and rejected a £55m offer earlier this month.
The Ecuador international joined Brighton from Independiente del Valle in February 2021 and has signed a contract with the southern outfit until 2025. He has made 25 appearances for Brighton since the move.
