Nottingham Forest are considering a late move for Leeds target Weston McKennie

Nottingham Forest are among the clubs considering a late bid to poach Weston McKennie Leeds Unitedwho are in advanced talks to sign the midfielder Juventus.

Forest, which is in 13th place Premier League table, are interested in signing the 24-year-old midfielder before Tuesday’s deadline.

The Athletic he reported earlier Saturday that Leeds remain locked in talks with Juventus as they attempt to complete their third big January signing before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

But Leeds, who also want to sign McKennie on loan with an option to buy, face late competition from Forest and others as interest in the USMNT player grows.

Juventus are keen to recoup money immediately for McKennie, who signed from Schalke in 2020.

Leeds decided to move McKennie after discussions with head coach Jesse Marsch.

He would be the third member of the USMNT squad to move to Elland Road last year after Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson.

But Forest are also hoping to recruit the midfielder following the arrivals of Danilo and Chris Wood.

Forest are also in advanced talks with Paris Saint-Germain to sign the veteran goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

Navas, international from Costa Rica and ex Real Madrid stopper, has fallen down the pecking order in Paris and is open to a move, in search of regular first-team football.

Forest are looking to sign a goalkeeper as their number one, Dean Henderson, has suffered a thigh injury which will rule him out of several important games.
