Former NBA star Robert Horry ejected from son’s basketball game after heckles ref

Robert Horry was ejected from his son’s high school basketball game Friday night, getting a police escort out of the stands at St. Francis de Los Angeles after repeatedly punching a referee. According to a report from NBC Los AngelesHorry’s son Christian is a player at Harvard Westlake, who had been visiting St. Francis.

In video obtained by TMZ Sports, Horry was seen shouting “You cool!” at a referee after his son was assessed his fourth foul of the game in the third quarter. The referee in question pointed at Horry and subsequently sent him off, prompting another outburst.

“Hey ref are you talking about me!? That’s bullshit!” cried Horry. “Oh, you’re mad at me because I said you’re cool!?”

Horry would continue to yell and clap at the referee before walking off, eventually sharing a word with Harvard Westlake head coach David Rebibo on the way out.

Known as “Big Shot Rob” and known for his clutch performance, Horry won seven N.B.A championships during his 16-year playing career with the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers i San Antonio Spurs.

Horry has had past problems at his son’s basketball games, while throwing punches at a man who had been challenging the players at a youth basketball tournament in 2017.
