The 2023 Big 12 Football Conference schedule has been released

The Big 12 today released its 2023 football schedule, the first ever 14-team conference.
28thousand The Big 12 football season begins on September 16thousand with new member Houston hosting TCU. Defending Big 12 champion K-State opens conference play against UCF on Sept. 23rd. A full seven-game slate closes out the conference season on Thanksgiving weekend.
With the addition of BYU, UCF, Cincinnati and Houston, Big 12 programs will continue to play nine non-division league games. The top two finishers in the conference by regular season standings will battle for the league title in the Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship Game on Saturday, December 2th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
“I would like to thank our fans for their patience as we await this historic schedule,” Commissioner Brett Yormark said. “Given its importance, the complexities of creating four new schools, adding a third time zone and ensuring alignment with key stakeholders, we took great care in its development. I look forward to another highly competitive season of Big 12 football and welcome our new members and their fans to the league.”
Television selections for the first three weeks of the season must be submitted by the Conference by June 1, 2023.
