After the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, both Euroleague and FIBA removed the country’s aggressor clubs from their tournaments, but not all European teams cut ties with them.
Istanbul’s Anadolu Efes has announced its pre-season schedule, which also includes Russian clubs. Clubs “Yenisej” of Krasnoyarsk and “Parma” of Perm will visit Turkey and play against the champions of the Euroleague.

These teams, along with Monaco’s AS Monaco, will compete in the traditional Gloria Cup tournament on September 15-17.
Kaunas “Zalgiris” competed in the tournament held in Antalya in recent years, but this year they did not include such an outing in their plans, choosing to train in Spain.
The Istanbul club also has a friendly tournament in Turkey at the beginning of September, and a trip to Greece on September 23-24, where they will compete against Panathinaikos of Athens, AX Armani of Milan and Tel Maccabi for the Pavlos Giannakopoulos Cup.
