“Rolling Stone” magazine obtained information about the conflict between the former spouses from the FBI protocols.
Angelina and Brad flew from France to Los Angeles with their children. Brad abused alcohol during the flight, so by the time the liner reached America, he was already quite drunk.
Spouses argued over different approaches to raising children. The actress accused B. Pitt of physical violence against her son Maddox, who was then 15 years old.
According to A. Jolie, during the argument, she asked B. Pitt what happened, and he allegedly replied: “That kid looks like the devil from Columbine.” , apparently referring to the 1999 Columbine (USA, Colorado) high school massacre, when two 12th graders – 18-year-old Eric Harris and 17-year-old Dylan Klebold – shot dead 12 students and a teacher, and injured 23 others. – Ed.)
Brad went on to say something like, “You don’t know what you’re doing,” clearly referring to her parenting methods. In addition, the actor slammed Angelina, saying that she is “ruining the family.”
Jolie said there was “tension” between her and her then-husband, adding that Pitt’s actions made her feel like a “hostage” on the plane.
According to FBI records, they went to the back of the plane so the children wouldn’t hear the argument. Then B. Pitt allegedly “grabbed her by the head, shook her hard, then grabbed her by the shoulders, shook her again and started threatening her, until she slammed her fist into the ceiling of the plane several times.”
At least one child saw the altercation and asked, “Mommy, are you okay?” and Pitt allegedly yelled, “No, mommy isn’t okay. She is destroying this family. She’s crazy.”
When someone on the plane said to Pitt, “It’s not her, you’re the fool,” Jolie was forced to grab Pitt by the throat because it looked like “he was going to attack” the child. According to A. Jolie, during the entire flight, B. Pitt acted like a “monster”, complained non-stop and screamed at the children.
In the FBI report, A. Jolie indicated 25 thousand. dollars in damage, mostly due to red wine stains. B. Pitt neglected her with it. Not only that, B. Pitt “poured beer on her and the blanket she was hiding under with her children.”
The actress claimed that her back and elbow were bruised, and a bruise was placed on her arm. During the incident, B. Pitt paid off only with a “scratch”, which, as she wrote, “could have been her fault”.
According to the report, when the plane landed, they couldn’t get out of the cabin because Pitt allegedly went into a rage: “You’re not going anywhere the hell.” You’re not getting off this fucked up plane. Go all of you. I, ****, am leaving you.”
After the conflict on the plane, the actress filed a complaint and demanded that her husband be arrested. But five weeks after the flight, federal prosecutors said they would not file any charges against Pitt because there was no direct evidence of the incident.
The actor’s representatives then denied all allegations of physical abuse.
“He claims that there was no physical abuse, that no one was physically injured. B. Pitt and his son had a strong argument, but the actor did not lay a finger on his son. He never slapped his child. He didn’t do it, he categorically denies it. Of course, he could have behaved better, but there was no physical abuse,” said a source close to B. Pitt at the time.
However, A. Jolie does not give up and hopes that her ex-husband will be put behind bars.
At the end of August, the actress sued the FBI due to the fact that representatives of the agency then terminated the investigation against B. Pitt and did not allow her to get acquainted with the case materials. Journalists were able to see the lawsuit, which also includes A. Jolie’s previously unpublished testimony about the incident on the plane.
The new lawsuit against the FBI was initially filed anonymously, but reporters were able to learn that the plaintiff was Jolie. Amanda Kramer, a prominent attorney representing the plaintiff, told Politico that her client filed the lawsuit anonymously to “protect the family’s confidentiality.”
The lawsuit claims the woman’s children “suffered severe physical and mental trauma” after her then-husband resorted to “verbal and physical abuse” during a private jet flight.
It also alleges that the plaintiff repeatedly requested a copy of the investigative materials in hopes of “better understanding the FBI’s investigation and obtaining information necessary for her children’s treatment and trauma counseling.”
Sources close to Mr. Pitt believe that A. Jolie filed the lawsuit against the FBI only to draw media attention to the allegations against Mr. Pitt. According to them, she has had the desired information for a long time. One source said Pitt was acquitted at the time because there was “not a shred of evidence” to support Angelina’s claims.
A source close to the case also confirmed to journalists that A. Jolie has had the requested documents for six years.
“What’s the point of filing a Freedom of Information Act request to get the same information again?” The only reason to do this is because of the media, because after six years it has nothing more to say, just like before. It’s information she’s had for six years.
What’s the point of someone from that family going public with it now, after all these years?” one source said.
– Brad and Angelina became a couple in 2005 when he left his first wife Jennifer Aniston for her. In 2014, the actors got married. A. Jolie filed for divorce in 2016 shortly after the incident on the plane.
– B. Pitt and A. Jolie have six children: Maddox, 21, Zahara, 17, and Pax, 18, who are adopted, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 14, and Shiloh, 16, who are the couple’s biological children.
– Ex-spouses are still litigating for custody of minor children.
– A source for Us Weekly recently said that Pitt has complained to friends that the litigation is taking too long and that he suspects Angelina will “never agree to joint custody and is going to drag it out until all the kids are 18.”
– After that, according to B. Pitt, A. Jolie is going to do everything so that the grown-up children “don’t want to have anything to do” with their father.
