Casemiro has officially said goodbye to the Real Madrid club and will soon officially join the ranks of Manchester United.
The £60m signing could be unveiled today: at Old Trafford ahead of the game against Liverpool.
In the official press conference, Casemiro said: “I felt that my journey here (at Real) is over. Now I will join the biggest club in England, but I will always be a Real Madrid fan, I will celebrate every goal of the team.
“When did I decide to leave Madrid? I started talking to my agent right after the Champions League final. I knew this was the end.
“The best memories from my time at Real will be last season’s Champions League nights at the Bernabeu. I am the happiest person in the world because I know that I have won everything here.
“I want to win the Premier League with Manchester United. I want to show United that I’m serious, I want to work as hard as I can and show who I am.
“Even though we won’t be playing in the Champions League this year, United are still one of the biggest clubs. I want to help the team, I want to win new trophies. I want new challenges, a new club, another country, a new culture.
“I can’t wait to play with Cristiano Ronaldo again. I hope he stays at Man Utd. He is incredible,” Casemiro said at the press conference.
