It is reported Censor.NET, citing Ukrainian defense intelligence.
“Soldiers of the 5th separate tank brigade of the 36th Army, who have submitted applications for dismissal from service due to refusal to continue participating in hostilities in Ukraine, are dismissed from service without any benefits (service length – three years, veteran status, etc.). Soldiers of the brigade in Ukraine are granted leave only for family reasons (death of close relatives),” the report reads.
At the same time, the military units participating in the war against Ukraine have a catastrophic lack of personnel.
To solve this problem, the Russian leadership decided to significantly reduce the rehabilitation time of soldiers after injuries. For the wounded, the diagnoses are deliberately simplified in the hospitals, pre-planned operations are not performed and they are offered to return to the war in Ukraine. Doctors are “recommended” to give permission for planned surgical interventions only after the end of the war or with the direct permission of the commander of the wounded.
“There is a previous case where a soldier was discharged from the hospital after a ruptured eardrum and contusion within three days. The official diagnosis was “otitis”. He was advised not to get an ear cold. However, surgical intervention was refused,” the report states.
Currently, the Russians are trying to strengthen their forces near the temporarily occupied Kherson at the expense of “available reserves”. For this purpose, it is planned to redeploy four battalions of the so-called “Kadyrovtsi”.
But now there is a serious shortage of soldiers in these departments. Most of them are not Chechens, but mercenaries from the poorest regions of the Russian Federation,” Ukrainian intelligence added.
