It was an even fight throughout the match, but in the fourth quarter, with 5 minutes left to play, the Finns built a 6-point lead – 70:64. However, after Tamir Blatt’s two-pointer, the teams were separated by just one point (71:72), and Tomer Ginat put Israel ahead – 73:72. Then Lauri Markkanen pushed his team forward (75:73), and after the teams exchanged successful attacks, the Finns took the lead 77:76. L. Markkanen increased the advantage (79:76), but Deni Avdija nailed a three-pointer and the teams had to play overtime – 79:79.

During the overtime, the Israeli national team had a 5-point lead (84:79), but the Finns tied the score – 84:84. D.Avdija led Israel to the front (86:84), and G.Mekelis consolidated the advantage (88:84), and the Jews celebrated the victory 89:87.

For the winners, D. Avdija scored 23 points (15 rebounds), Tomer Ginat added 13 (5 rebounds), Guy Pnini and Nimrod Levi – 10 each

Lauri Markkanen scored 33 points (8/19 shooting, 11 rebounds), Alexander Madsen added 13, and Edon Maxhuni – 11.
