In the ranking of the European Championship prepared by FIBA, the Slovenians fell to the second place

Before the European Championship, FIBA has updated the ranking in which it assigns places to the teams of the soon-to-be-started European Championship.

The Lithuanians did not advance from the fourth place, but the Serbians, who were one step behind them, are now seen as favorites to lift the Champions Cup. A good performance in the World Cup qualifiers allowed them to oust the Slovenians from the top.

Bronze medals are promised for the Greeks led by Giannis Antetokounmpo. The quarter-finals are also expected to see France, Germany, Spain and Italy.

Four teams from Group B are included in the first eight (Slovenia, Lithuania, France and Germany), which justifies the name of the group of death. In addition, Bosnians have 13 places in the ranking, and Hungarians have 18 places.

Meanwhile, the label of outsiders is attached to Estonia, Bulgaria, Great Britain and the Netherlands.
