Kaunas “Žalgiris” organization will take another step in the coming autumn. As announced Kaunas municipalityintensive preparations are being made for the planned opening of the “Žalgiris” arena swimming pool and the “Žalgiris” swimming academy in the fall.

The “Žalgiris” organization, which is starting to educate swimmers, is already inviting both children and adults who want to learn to swim, improve their skills or get rid of their fear of water to register for swimming classes.

“Zalgiris” swimming academy will offer swimming lessons two to three times a week for all age groups, with an expected attendance of 700-900 swimmers.

“Zalgiris organization, which already has basketball and football academies, is expanding its range of activities and will contribute to youth education in another area. The main goal is to provide the best and highest quality conditions for learning to swim. Swimming is an extremely important and healthy part of after-school activities, and in the “Žalgiris” arena pool we have all the necessary conditions for improving personal skills as well as training professional swimmers”, – the director of the multifunctional water sports center Emilis Vaitkaitis is quoted in the municipality’s announcement.

In the modern space built on Nemunas Island, ten experienced swimming coaches will await visitors, including Lithuanian swimming record holder Tadas Duškinas.
