M. Kleberas will assist L. Doncic for at least another four years

The Dallas Mavericks, who are building their lineup for future struggles, have kept an important tall man for a long time.

Luka Dončičius led by the Texas Club agreed with Maximilian Kleber on a 3-year, 33 million United States (US) dollar contract extension. This will take effect after the end of his current contract, in the summer of 2023.

For the German, this represents a significant pay rise, as he will earn $9 million this coming season and $11 million annually thereafter.

The 30-year-old 208 cm forward collected 7 points (33 percent from three-pointers), 5.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 25 minutes last season.

M. Kleber moved to the NBA in 2017 and has only worn the Mavericks jersey. Before moving across the Atlantic, he defended the honor of Bayern Munich.
