Russian “agent 007” captured in Ukraine

According to the SBU, the woman came to the city pretending to be a volunteer, but in fact she was carrying out tasks for the Russian Federation to determine the deployment of units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

It is noted that this resident of Pohovski district of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhia region was recruited by the special services of the Russian Federation at the beginning of the large-scale invasion.

“He received the call sign “007” from his Russian curator and instructions on how to carry out reconnaissance and subversive activities in the region. In order to disguise her criminal actions, the accomplice of the aggressors introduced herself as a local volunteer in the temporarily occupied territory, and through her personal contacts, she collected data on members of the partisan movement in the south for their further identification,” the report states.

According to the SBU, the enemy agent’s next task was to establish contact with the defenders of Ukraine in order to determine the locations of the deployment and movement of units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, so she left the temporarily occupied territory in Zaporizhia.

“She planned to transmit the obtained coordinates, as well as data on the number of personnel and equipment of the defense forces, to the intruders through a specially created anonymous Telegram channel. However, SBU officers promptly revealed and neutralized the spy,” the department noted.

Now the investigators informed her about the suspicion of treason during the martial law, the court ordered her to be remanded in custody.

The General Prosecutor’s Office also clarified that the detained enemy agent is 19 years old.

According to prosecutors, she also collected and transmitted to the enemy data on the location of ammunition caches of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also, her “responsibilities” included the identification of relatives of Ukrainian soldiers in Russian-occupied territory.

An agent of the Russian special services was detained in Odessa, who collected intelligence information that the occupiers use to identify possible targets of the Ukrainian security forces, carry out sabotage and special information operations to discredit them.
