Thomas Tuchel has released an official statement on social media following his sacking from Chelsea.
The specialist from Germany began his official statement as follows: “This is one of the most difficult statements I have ever had to write and one that I hoped I would not have to write for a long time. I am devastated that my time at Chelsea has come to an end.
“This is the club where I felt at home: both professionally and personally. Thanks to all the staff, players and fans for helping me feel this way from the start.
“The pride and joy I felt with this club winning the Champions League and the Club World Cup will stay with me forever. I am grateful that I could be a part of this club, and the memories from these 19 months at the club will always remain with me”, said T. Tuchel.
Head of the London Club Graham Potter, who came from Brighton, replaced the German as coach.
