The Dutch men’s basketball team is preparing for a trip to Lithuania, where they will play a control match against ours on Friday.
Before the meeting there were changes in the composition – Dylan van Eyck and Quinten Post said goodbye to the national team and went to his clubs to prepare for the season. Kai’us Edwards, Luuk van Bree and Boy van Vliet have been moved to the reserves and their help will be requested by the national team only in case someone suffers an injury.
Meanwhile, key player Shane Hamminkas stayed at home and will join the national team when it returns from Lithuania.
Netherlands attack leader Yannick Franke suffered a hand injury in a friendly match against the French, which will keep him out of action for a month and a half, so he will miss the Old Continent championships.
Dutch candidates: Keye van der Vuurst de Vries, Leon Williams, Worthy de Jong, Marijn Ververs, Mohamed Kherrazi, Shane Hammink, Roeland Schaftenaar, Olaf Schaftenaar, Matt Haarms, Jito Kok, Rienk Mast, Charlon Kloof.
The Netherlands will start the European Championship in Group D, where they will meet the Finns, Poles, Czechs, Jews and Serbs.
